The Story: [Abstinence can only get you so far: that is to say, not very far at all. To High Renaissance men with swelling sexual appetites, the thought is never far from the front of one's mind, even if said man has adopted the cloth and rosary.

Athos has done an exceptional job cutting himself off ever since...well, his wife decided to to leave him, and he hasn't looked back since. Leaving the carnal pleasures to Porthos, the youthful blush of love to D'Artagnan, and the occasional sin to Aramis was much easier.
