Who: Everyone!
Where: The Entrance Hall
When: Friday, October 5th.
Rating: PG to be safe?
Summary: Hey, Mister Postman, look and see
The Story:
After a conversation with one of the lovely residents of Wonderland, Tweedledee and Tweedledum have decided to fill an absence in Wonderland's infrastructure.
They've set up some lopsided pigeon hole boxes. Each one is labeled with the name of a resident (some of which are not spelled correctly), and there is a box for each resident.
More importantly, though, each box has something in it! Take a look below to see what:
Lithuania - An "I Like Ike" button.
Beast - A dented tin of breath mints.
Eleanor Lamb - A scuffed rubber duck
Mark Meltzer - A box of half-used crayons.
George Lass - A cracked Frankenberry.
Aikawa Yuu - A broken joystick.
Loki Laufeyson - A pair of dice with nothing on their faces.
Mamimi Samejima - A mostly-used book of matches.
Blaine Anderson - A tuning fork.
Brittany Pierce - Empty lip-smackers tube.
Kurt Hummel - Testosterone supplements.
Santana Lopez - This card.
Shannon Beiste - A love letter.
James Potter - A broken compass (the needle just spins).
Quirrel - A sock puppet.
Dave Strider - A scratched laser disc.
Jade Harley - A sling shot.
John Egbert - A pair of licorice scottie dogs covered in pocket lint.
Karkat Vantas - A rotten tomato.
Latula Pyrope - A seatbelt.
Neophyte Redglare - An eightball with no die inside.
Nepeta Leijon - A nail file.
Sollux Captor - A slightly used candle shaped like the number 1.
Kazuki Hihara - Several cracked clarinet reeds.
Alex - A toy video camera.
Jay - A VHS tape with most of the magnetic ribbon hanging out.
Natasha Romanova - A package of fake spider webs.
Pinkie Pie - A balloon "animal". Which is to say, a balloon twisted into a shape that isn't identifiable as any kind of animal.
Amaterasu - A bone.
Philip - A package of googly eyes.
Minato Arisato - A pinwheel.
Shinjiro Aragaki - A broken alarm clock with bent hands.
Souji Seta - A stress ball with a smiley face on it.
Yousuke Hanamura - A bike chain.
Xephos - Dirt.
John Watson - An eyepatch.
Sherlock Holmes - A broken pipe (the kind for smoking).
Peacock - A dented, empty oil can.
Clyde Donovan - Crumpled, used tissues.
Kyle Broflovski - One knitting needle.
Stan Marsh - A punctured soccer ball.
Bela Talbot - Diet pills.
Dean Winchester - A kazoo.
Sam Winchester - A half finished braided-lanyard.
Onceler - Crumpled Monopoly money.
The Lorax - A ream of recycled paper.
Evelyn Carnahan - A decoder ring.
Athos - A handmirror with no glass in it.
Duke of Buckingham - A Chinese finger trap.
Tara Gregson - A child's mood ring.
Thorfinn - A used bar of soap.

But.
You know.
He's just not sure what to do with these.
"Hnnggghhh. They're warm."
no subject
"Are you happy, John Egbert?"
It's like they've been standing right behind him the whole time. They're both smiling ear to ear, possibly because even if they're in the wrong order, they got all the letters of John's name right on the label. As far as they're concerned, that's a home run."We've done just what we said we would!"

She just really wishes she could be sure this isn't just the mansion screwing with her. Even if she was only 7 in 1971.
She puts the letter back. She doesn't really want to bring a joke played by the mansion back to her room.

Either way, he shook his head after a while of staring.
"Damn waste of a good laser disc with that scratch in it."
no subject
"Contrariwise, it could be a waste of a good scratch!"
"No one appreciates a scratch on a disc the way they should."The Twins are standing on the stairs, leaning over the railing and looking down at Dave.

Dare I ask what this is about?
[ Buckingham does not remember his last conversation with the twins fondly and, colourful as it may be, he really has no idea what to make of this trinket. ]

How does this work? Do you shake it?
[And he proceeds to shake it like a polaroid picture.]

And it's supposed to work properly.

"Ah," he mutters to himself. "As expected."
He rolls the dices in his hand.
"Rather useless. Unless this is trying to convey a certain message."

No, wait. That's two important questions.

Which means he's right here in the hall, holding on to his clunky toy videocamera (?!?!) and wondering whether and/or when it's going to explode in his face.
"That's not funny," he says out loud, in case the mansion has some ears to hear it.

The Entrance Hall was as grand as it was the day he arrived, but with a new addition. There were mailboxes, each labeled with a name. Beast found his, his blue eyes brightening and his tail wagging slightly in anticipation. Could it be his enchanted rose? Maybe his mirror?
Nope. It was a tin can, its label faded, with what looked like dent marks from something chewing on it. What could it be?
He opened it with trepidation, and a low growl formed in his throat as he saw the mints inside. His hackles rose and he looked around the Entrance Hall, wanting to get his hands on whomever thought up this hilarious prank.
Bastards.

"Good evening, Prince Adam."

She does so by shooting pellets at a door leading to an empty room. Yes, definitely a great mail gift. ]
