Where Kitchen, hallways between there and Sam Winchester's floor, outside in front of the mansion
When: Bendy time to Friday evening (enjoy the benefits of bendytime?)
Rating: R (violence, language, multiple character deaths)
Summary: Faith finally snaps, enjoying a killing spree and some of the characters rally to stop her.
Notes: This log post will act as the main action post for the immediate mini!plot. This just means that all of the things we've discussed in email should probably occur here, in the threads I've set up, to make everything easy to handwave and bendytime. If any of you want to play out anything else, feel free to make another thread or your own post, however you wanna do it. If you can OOCly link back to this post, or the corresponding thread(s) when you post to the characters' journals, that would rock but it's just a suggestion to keep everyone on the same page. Feel free to melee tag at all of these threads, and vague it up whenever details that haven't been played out happen. If I missed anything as always, let me know and let's go have some fun!
the Story:
The last snap is tiny; like the subtle sound she makes when stepping on a twig out in the forest. Only the forest doesn't help her escape anymore. Faith's gone blind, and she roams through the mansion looking for something to stop the thoughts in her head. Waking up out of a fucking video game that she hadn't even realized wasn't normal had been just another mind fuck, enough to push her over that last little edge she'd been hanging onto. Electricity hums through her muscles, but another fight isn't going to cut it; bruises only hurt so long, broken bones set and heal too quickly to distract from the real pain. She stinks of smoke and alcohol and it doesn't help anymore, doesn't cover up the smell of blood on her hands. So why keep trying to escape?

001 | stalking america in the kitchen

[identity profile] idkmybfftony.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
America was starting to feel better about himself. Honestly. He's regaining his optimism, and nobody's been attacking him (though he has a gun, just in case) so all those threats were really irrelevant at this point. Maybe they all forgot?

They probably did. After all, it wasn't America's fault. And he kind of apologized. So yeah.

So danger averted, for now, America's in the kitchen, feeling like a burger. He's humming to himself, guard down as usual when there's no immediate threat to his safety though occasionally sings in between the humming as he grills a burger on the stove.

"Hmm hmm two all beef patties... hmmm hmm.. special sauce, lettuce, hmmm hmm on a sesame seed bu-"

...wait. What is that? At first it's just annoying, but when he turns to try to see what it is, then it gradually starts hurting like a bitch.

He's not a stranger to pain. Nor is he one to being stabbed, apparently.

"H-HEY!" He swings his arm back, not seeing who attacked yet but reacting on instinct, to back hand Faith with his strength behind it. Which means he's swinging power equivalent to a truck, since he's so hardcore.

002 | escaped and run into mia, mia's death

[identity profile] ethereallawyer.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Mia had just been on her way to the kitchens when she noticed the fight break out. A frown creased her face and she was in the middle of calling for help when the kitchen door burst open. The defense attorney let out a yelp as she was grabbed and dragged up the stairs, crashing into the wall.

"Let me go!" she yelled, trying to drag her feet behind her as much as she could.

Re: 003 | the fighting begins, hubb has a fucking light saber!?

[identity profile] 2ndhandlion.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
He wasn't sure why the woman had snapped, only that she had, and from the network, she was dangerous and not to be underestimated. Hubb had gone through too many wars to give people second chances -- and it wasn't like death was permanent here.

When he caught sight of the woman covered in blood, he emptied his shotgun, dropped it, and switched on the light saber in a fluid set of movements.

004 | fighting terra, killing sam

[identity profile] wayward-sam.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
Sam was just about to shoot a reply to Dean, who'd made a comment on the network about a girl named Faith, wondering if he needed to be on the lookout for her. He flinches when someone starts banging on his door, though he freezes at his desk when he hears who it is. Well... no, that isn't ironic in the slightest.

But if she claimed to be a friend of Ruby's, what does that mean for Sam? Does she have some kind of demonic psychic crazy whatsis condition that made her snap? If so, Sam can't waste time hesitating. He's fairly sure that he'd be able to take care of one girl going through a meltdown. He'd taken on worse.

With that in mind, he gets up and quickly strides towards the door, pausing for only a moment before opening it a crack. He doesn't really want to get into a physical altercation with her if something really is wrong, so he banks on being quick enough to slam the door back in her face if Dean's assessment of her being buckets of crazy seems true.

"What's up?"

Re: 005 | FBI intervention; reid's murder

[identity profile] yes-imagenius.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Reid only caught the tail end of Sam's murder and Faith's crash through the window. He'd been in the library, playing chess against himself and he'd turned off the communicating device so he could concentrate. When he headed out of the library, he flipped it back on to catch Faith kissing Sam on the forehead and diving out the window in a dramatic escape.

He sends a private message to Derek. "Hey Morgan, I don't know if you've seen what's on the network but meet me outside on the lawn. Bring your gun and be careful. Stay back. I want to talk to her."

He has some emotional investment in Faith. They've talked and he'd thought he could save her. Really save her in a way that he couldn't save his Mom or Adam or any of the others. When he steps out onto the lawn to confront Faith, he has his hands raised. He doesn't have his vest on and his gun is upstairs.

"Faith, it's Reid. That was an pretty impressive tuck and roll you did."

For once, he doesn't stutter. This is sort of what Reid does best.

Derek had kind of been keeping track. And once he saw the whole Sam killing, he was already grabbing his gun. This place and these people played by a whole different set of rules. No way he wasn't going in there armed when the girl he'd met a few days ago was clearly insane and on an it's okay to kill spree.

Then he got Reid's message and that set him into high gear. Reid was the only person here he completely trusted right now. Reid was like family. And really, no one messed with his family without his getting involved.

He hurried downstairs, keeping hidden just inside the door with the door open so he could keep track of what was happening. His weapon was drawn, the safety off so that he could shoot if things went south. Normally, he'd think to talk first like Reid or fight his way out of this. But this was anything but normal. Reid had a habit of putting himself out there though, which was both irritating and endearing. But with crazy killer super-powered girl on the loose? Right now it was irritating and not too bright for a genius. Endearing would come later.

He waited, keeping out of sight.

006 | fighting saix

[identity profile] bloodluna.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
People had died. More than one, and in all likelihood, there would be more to come unless someone did come to put the rabid dog down. Saix had long made his views on the matter known, and still, killing one another was a favoured pastime in the mansion.

Saix would have dealt with them all in the same way. There were more after this one, out of revenge, or affection for those hurt, but despite the death of Mia, Saix approached the matter with the same cool detachment as he had shown when it had been Beast Boy. When it had been America.

This was getting to become a habit.

It felt as though he'd chased this girl, Faith, around the mansion once already, trying to keep up with her movements, but now he saw her, and he walked towards her, a blue haired man with a scar between his eyes, and no weapon in his hands, wearing nothing more than a floor length leather coat, and leather boots, and leather trousers.

And the gloves.

All the protection he needed against the Darkness, and at times like this he wore it still, just in case. Even if the Darkness was inside.

"So you would be Faith," he said, in a calm voice, one empty hand reaching out into the air, and with a noise like a sword being pulled from its sheath the claymore appeared, and opened, clanging metal as the sword and its spikes fell into existence in Saix's hand.

"I want to see you die fighting."

007 | dean I Bringing a gun to a knife fight

[identity profile] viva-la-impala.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Sure enough, the barrel of the gun is trained at the spot between Faith’s eyes. Dean’s trigger finger looks damn itchy too, as his entire body shakes with suppressed rage. Dean prided himself on keeping his cool in most situations. He may have gotten cocky or hot headed, but he very rarely outright lost it. Faith, however, had hit Dean right in his Achilles heel. Sam. Take out Sam and the whole tough façade just fell to pieces like the straw figure it was.

Taking note of the large spiked cudgel in Faith’s hands Dean’s eyes widen. Siax unarmed? He’d never thought such a thing possible. The man was a goddamn tank, making the fact that Faith had disarmed him all the more disturbing. There was something unnatural about her. She hefted the weapon like it was nothing more than an elaborate baseball bat.

“Want to drop the weapon, sweetcheeks?” He waves the gun at her. Naturally he didn’t expect her to comply, but it never hurt to ask.

The look in her eyes though, that dead look, told him she’d checked out ages ago. It wasn’t burning insanity he saw, but a grim tiredness. She’s on autopilot. Just wants the pain to stop. Just lookin for someone to punch the ticket.

He’d punch her ticket. Gladly. But she owed him a goddamn explanation first.

008 | ryohei escorts (drags) faith to her cell, ruby comes to call

[identity profile] kyokugen-sun.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Everything has happened too fast. Ryohei's had no time to process any of it beyond the fact that Faith is an immediate and lethal threat. He's had no time to do anything but react and do as he's told, let alone try to figure out why she's doing any of this. It hasn't even crossed his mind that it would end, at least temporarily, if he killed her. Killing as an option never crosses his mind, regardless of the situation.

He shoves her into the room ahead of him, shuts and locks the door, and keeps his eyes on her as he crosses the room to the closet. He's seen how hard it is to stop her and how resourceful she is, so he knows that even a locked door probably won't stop her for long. Especially not with access to a closet that will give her anything she wants. Even inside the temporary cell, he'll have to make sure she's restrained.

He finds several pairs of handcuffs in the closet--along with their keys, which he pockets--and approaches her cautiously with them. Focusing all of his attention on her and on restraining her, he can avoid thinking about anything else.
